Japanese cars
My fascination with japanese sports cars started a long time ago and as the years has gone by I've had a number of favourites. If you allready know a lot about the following cars, you probably won't learn anything new here, but if you're new to the world of japanese sport cars you'll probably find this a good introduction to some of the most interesting models. Enjoy!
Mazda
RX-7
Produced between 1978 and 2002 the RX-7 is probably Mazda's best known rotary engined car. All three generation cars (SA/FB, FC and FD) are equiped with a 2 rotor rotary engine (a.k.a Wankel Engine). The first two generations were produced in both natural aspirated and turbo versions where as the third generation (FD) were only sold in sequencial twin turbo configuration. My Mazda RX-7 is a 1988 second generation TurboII.
RX-8
The RX-8 was the new rotary engined sports car that replaced the RX-7 when it went out of construction in 2002.
MX-5/Miata
The most sold sports car in the world.
